Captains’ Meeting 2011

On Saturday:

07:50 – the meeting of team captains in TREK category with the referee board;

08:05 – the meeting of team captains in BIKE category with the referee board.

The points to be discussed:

1) Bonuses and penalties.

For the “TREK” category there will be the “BONUS” CPs. The cost of these CPs is minus 6 hours from the team timing.

The penalty for the missing or not passing of the special task is plus 3 hours to the team timing.

2) The map.

The “Cartography” (“Картографія”) map is based on the old mapping records. Pay attention that some of the marked routes are recorded incorrectly (for instance, the route to the Moloda (Молода) Mountain).

The same is with the roads and paths recorded on this map. Mostly they are correct but there are some mistakes.

3) There is a danger of a snake bite.

What to do:

- not to drain away poison;
- not to squeeze the wounded limb;
- to clean thoroughly with water – the more, the better;
- to apply splint (stick + bandage), so that a limb will be fixed.
- to keep the limb in the upward position, in order to minimize the blood circulation.
- to call an ambulance from the camp (Tel: +380979790346; +380505228008). Before it arrives, carry the injured on a stretcher to the road. Important: the joint of the bitten limb must not move.
